Job Description


To ensure the best results and performance of the company through processes efficiency, standardization and technology implementation and operation:

  • Leading the structuring of processes in the organization.
  • Encouraging and promoting the continuous improvement in efficiency and process quality through material and services standardization.
  • Ensuring the Digital Transformation of the organization providing necessary technology, tools, services and change management.
  • Encouraging and promoting improvements in environmental preservation, and technological innovation to support other business organizations.


MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

  1. Network and Substations equipment and facilities Standardization
  2. Global Contracting Model for Services definition and implementation.
  3. Smart Grids platforms operation leadership: Control Systems, Substation & Distribution Automation, Telecoms services and AMI
  4. Deployment of digitalization programs and special projects
  5. Processes definition and implementation
  6. Networks IT Systems strategy definition
  7. Defining safety, environmental and quality policy in Networks.
  8. Establish indicators to measure the performance of the company
  9. Provide tracking information of the business for the different operational areas related to expected performance indicators
  10. Change Management
  11. Global Practice Group support as a pillar activity to ensure best practices adoption and efficiency achievement.
  12. Contribute to the management of the GPG activity and the different activities and implement the GPG plan and actions in Avangrid.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

•         Bachelor Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 year experience. Master Degree preferred.

•         Minimum of 10 years in Network and System Operations Business or related to.

•         Global Business Management knowledge

•         Leader with a strong organizational and interpersonal skills in a managerial role


•         Results oriented

•         Able to coordinate, focus and direct the team in analyzing complex situations and implement courses of action

•         High level of analytical skills

•         Strategic thinking, ability to identify clear goals and priorities that drive achievement of the Company Mission

•         Negotiation and influence in the organization

•         Strong communication skills
