Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:

Maintains calibration and certification of all metering test equipment for compliance with the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST). Provides repair, test and calibration services for various measurement
instruments, plus metering equipment and other specialized metering equipment. Develops and coordinates the
Company's formal Meter Training programs and documentation of same. Provides the field coordination, technical
metering support, meter training material and meter testing requirements. Administers the Company's Meter
Progression program. Develops and maintains the Company's Meter Field Operating Procedures (including
Metering Construction Standards), electronic meter reading (EMR) and CSS (meter related) procedures.
Coordinates the implementation of new metering technologies.

Major Roles and Responsibilities (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Verifies testing on the labs calibration boards (5455 and 5800) and field equipment to ensure calibration
traceable to the N.I.S.T. Develops company policies and procedures to ensure uniform practice and regulatory
compliance related to meter work methods, EMR and CSS (meter related).

2. Develops and coordinates corporate meter training programs. Develops and revises progression examinations
as required to ensure they represent current metering standards, work methods and practices. Coordinates the
scheduling, correcting and grading of all progression examinations in the metering field. Initiates and maintains any
records that may be required for the documentation of field metering training and progression examinations.

3. Maintains, repairs, tests and calibrates all measurement instruments used by various departments
company-wide. Tests, troubleshoots and repairs all pulse metering equipment and specialized electronic and solid
state metering equipment.

4. Provides technical assistance and advice in the area of testing, calibration and repair of metering equipment and
operation of the AMS-2000 System. Maintains an inventory of repair parts. Audits and maintains current certification
records. Prepares requisitions.

5. Maintains and updates Meter Skills Training Manuals. Ensures that the Company's meter training procedures
comply with current OSHA regulations. Develops and maintains EMR Systems training manual, Operators Guides
and Meter Field Operating Procedures, including Metering Construction Standards.

6. Assists in scheduling and monitoring watt-hour meter field testing, changeout and retirement programs. Conducts
meter technical training (including EMR and CSS) of Meter Operations Department employees.

7. Tests, inspects and maintains key Personal Protective Equipment such as Rubber Gloves, Sleeves, Blankets,
and Grounds. Also cleans, inspects, and repairs field tools such as Hot Sticks and Load Busters. Duties include
updating tracking records for OSHA compliance.


•Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or equivalent experience.

•5-7 years of technical experience in the electric metering field.
•Thorough knowledge of standards, procedures, instructions, regulatory and training requirements related to
Company's Meter Lab.
