The IT Technical Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution,
control and completion of application IT projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, standards,
commitments and goals.

• Lead lifecycle management for IT Projects. Lead the development and implementation of a broad,
coordinated set of projects to meet the company goals and business requirements.
• Exercise high level of authority and discretion over day-to-day activities and project operations.
• Develop project scopes to support business strategy, align with business objectives. Interface, report and
work with high management company stakeholders.
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete
the project, defining the required resources to meet project goals (schedule, budget, equipment, and human
resource), risks and contingency plans. Project budget may vary from a few hundred thousand to +$50M projects.
• Lead operational objectives achievement by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans
and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing projects, providing IT services; resolving
problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing project changes.
• Working closely with identified business representatives to accurately capture and document business
requirements and translate into functional requirements.
• Coordinate complex technical solutions. Overcoming challenges and providing resolution in a complex
technological and multidisciplinary environment.
• Ensure project execution by controlling and monitoring project timeline, budget, scope, risks, and changes
• Lead and coordinate project team and interface with national and international distributed global business
• Work with multidisciplinary technical teams. Projects vary from Infrastructure to Business Systems to
Software projects.

• Proactively consult, communicate and collaborate with internal clients and business units to analyze
information needs and functional requirements, ensuring delivery of business value within proposed solutions.
• Develop quality assurance policies and procedures for the managed projects, adhering to the requirements
of standards as NERC CIP, US Federal Agency or NIST.
• Work following internal company standards for Project Management in coordination with the PMO office.
• This job position has full discretionary personnel authority, including the ability to recommend personal
actions and direct work of the employees under the project management scope.

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of IT Project Manager experience.
• Strong technical background and understanding of network, systems, application and data storage concepts.
• Proven experience in people management, strategic project execution, strategic planning, risk management,
change management.
• Excellent planning, project management, organizational skills, flexibility, and customer focus.
• Ability to coordinate, manage and work with national and international delivery teams living in different time
zones and continents.
• Excellent communications skills and capacity to manage cultural differences in a project team.
• NERC / CIP certification. Ability to qualify to NERC standards including successful 7 year background
investigation and security review.
• Excellent experience defining business and functional requirements.
• Ability to travel to Avangrid generation sites, Avangrid offices, and Ibderola office, on demand under project
• Strong commitment to personnel safety.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Clarity Project Management tool experience.
• Fluency in Spanish language.
• Experience with generation control centers and SCADA systems in a NERC environment.
• PMP, or at least the 35h PMP training.
