Description

The Avangrid Renewables Inventory Planning Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the demandforecasting, supply planning and purchase order placement processes for materials required to support Avangrid’sUS Commercial Operations at over 60 US Sites with a capacity of 6+ GW. In this role the Inventory PlanningSupervisor will set the objectives and guidelines for the Inventory Planning Specialists, monitor the performance ofthe team and suppliers while driving strategic supplier facing initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supervision of Inventory Planning Team.
• Overall accountability and leadership of quarterly forecasting process for 750+ SKU’s with a focus onimproved availability and increased inventory turns. Make recommendations to update forecasting models based onoperating experience to optimize inventory levels.
• Leadership and mentoring of staff on forecasting material process and requirements in support of fleet andtranslating that to an executable materials requirement plan in SAP.
• Oversee quarterly inventory obsolescence process and coordinate team activities around tactical initiatives todispose of surplus and obsolete materials.
• Set, deploy and monitor KPI’s for the planning team.
• Overall accountability and leadership on tactical supplier management utilizing operational KPI’s
• Ensures team initiates purchase requisitions and places purchase orders following Company Policy utilizingthe ERP system for assigned materials from the lowest cost approved source.
• Monitoring and tracking of all open material purchase orders of the team with suppliers and coordination withinternal customers, including:o Resolving delivery quality or performance issues with suppliers.o Processing of return materials.o Resolving invoice issues with suppliers.

o Collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to improve supplier performance.o Updating of re-order points and quantities when required.o Support warehouse audits following Company Policy to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Travel as required (15%)

Requirements


• Two years of relevant supervisory experience of professional staff and supplier relationships. Demonstratedability to mentor and develop staff and suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain; or the equivalent combination of education andexperience.
• Proven track record developing, maintaining and optimizing demand forecasting models
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing and inventory functions.
• Experience in with ERP systems (preferably SAP), especially materials requirements planning (MRP).
• Understanding of supply chain for an operations group.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills to support customer requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with MS office.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:


• Experience with wind plant construction, operations, and maintenance.
• Experience managing supply base in support of a manufacturing line.
