This position in Avangrid’s Finance and Treasury team is principally focused on structured finance supporting
Avangrid’s Renewable segment and secondarily on supporting Avangrid’s utility and holding company financing
initiatives and supporting green and sustainable financing initiatives. The position will report to the Director of
Structured Finance.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Create and run tax-equity financial models for new development projects, incorporating complex financing
concepts and tax, accounting and ownership rules.

• Prepare new equity partnership offering materials, proformas and other required information.

• Manage existing tax equity partnerships:
o Ensure timely and accurate delivery of required accounting and operating reports
o Respond to questions from investors
o Manage all required investor approvals
o Prepare calculations to determine progress toward investors’ achieving their target IRR
o Evaluate any required amendments or changes to the partnership agreements or early buy-out opportunities

• Prepare long-term projections and presentations as required by Treasury for ratings agencies and
shareholder relations.

• Support our Renewables’ development group with effective tax-monetization strategies for proposed wind
farms and solar facilities.

• Monitor structured finance marketplace for new structures that may be of use to Avangrid.

• Provide presentation materials for structured finance proposals to senior management. For approved
o Perform financial analyses to maximize corporate value, incorporating complex financing concepts and tax,
accounting and ownership issues;
o Prepare equity partnership offering materials, data files and other required information;
o Review and analyze investor proposals and proforma calculations;

o Furnish information and presentation materials to senior management;
o Work with investors and their legal teams/consultants as well as our internal departments to support due
diligence process for new partnerships


• Degree in finance or accounting plus 8+ years relevant experience (e.g. modeling structured finance
transactions); or the equivalent combination of education and experience

• Knowledge of accounting for tax-equity (i.e., HLBV)

• Ability to comprehend legal documents

• Superior quantitative skills

• Solid attention to detail

• Leadership skills in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or other advanced degree in a quantitative field

• Experience in the energy industry, preferably renewable energy
