Description

The Senior Director, Field Services will oversee and manage all field operations and maintenance programs forAvangrid Renewables in the United States. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and willprovide direct supervision of five regional directors, a Fleet Manager, and a Plant Administrator Manager whichcovers a fleet of over 60 Avangrid renewable energy facilities comprised of area managers, plant managers,supervisors and several hundred technician staff and contractors.Key Responsibilities
• Develop necessary goals, objectives, policies, organization, and priorities appropriate to a world-classrenewable energy O&M division.
• Ensure that all facilities operations personnel and contractors maintain a high level of health, safety andenvironmental awareness and performance.
• Represent the operations group in commercial negotiations ranging from Power Purchase Agreements, JointVentures, Operation and Maintenances Services, Shared Use Agreements, Tax Equity, etc.)
• Key stakeholder within the Global Operations and Maintenance organization. Provide resources and in somecases manage and implement global O&M initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all governmental, regulatory and legislative responsibilities related to an O&Morganization (ie. OSHA, NERC, FERC, Environmental, etc.)
• Develop and implement O&M Strategies and organizations to address changing business strategies andopportunities.
• Engage and manage operations and supporting staff during new project commissioning and the transitionfrom construction to commercial operations as well as the transition from in warranty plants to out of warrantyplants.
• Develop, manage and oversee department budgets and strategy including manpower and finances.


• Forge effective business relationships with internal support organizations as well as suppliers, andcontractors, including management of OEM warranty administration following new project startups.
• Find cost effective solutions to complex problems and development of continuous improvement strategies allwith the objective of optimizing project performance.
• Drive continuous feedback from existing projects and benchmarking information to ensure that Avangridmaintains a competitive position in the market relative to O&M.
• Support the development and construction organizations on new projects opportunities, reviewing conceptualdesigns and potential environmental issues and conducting technical due diligence in conjunction with otherdepartments.
• Maintain accurate records for O&M related activities (work orders, financial records, personnel management,compliance documents, etc.).
• Ensure all relevant internal controls are followed and develop new control as needed.

Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years’ experience with plant construction, operations, including performance monitoring, majormaintenance, plant breakdown analysis, and OEM warranty administration.
• 10+ years’ experience in electric generation project development or project management.
• Knowledge of U.S. safety laws, environmental laws, labor laws, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, andpermitting compliance.
• Strong background and understanding of commercial terms and contract negotiation
• Proven experience with vendor warranty management.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of management, supervision and administration.
• Knowledge of budget preparation, implementation, and oversight.
• Proficiency using personal computer tools and applications such as email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andscheduling software.
• Ability to work over multiple time zones and at times odd hours as work dictates. 20-30% travel required.Preferred Qualifications
• Technical competence and recent experience regarding wind generation.
• Management of a large complex organizations with power generation or O&M experience.Additional Success Factors

• Maintains effectiveness during procedural/organizational changes and when dealing with varying personalitystyles and tasks.
