This position will administer tax planning and compliance in the Corporate Tax Department for indirect tax functions.


• Compile, analyze, and prepare Sales, Use and Gross Receipts tax returns for various companies in multiplejurisdictions and assist with the same for other tax types as directed.
• Prepare Sales, Use and Gross Receipts tax registrations for various companies in multiple jurisdictions
• Identify and communicate to Team and Management business practices and processes which create tax risks andparticipate in development of solutions to mitigate risk.
• Recommend changes to processes and practices which increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Tax Team.
• Provide guidance and support for accounting (GAAP/IFRS) for taxes including budgets and accruals.
• Provide assistance to Government Relations relating to legislative incentives.
• Research tax laws and regulations to facilitate accurate tax models/forecasts for development projects and assistdevelopers with incentive negotiations as needed.
• Uses best practices related to tax reporting, tax return preparation, and Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance asrequired.

Experience/Training Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other applicable field or equivalentcombination of education and experience;
• Strong ability, desire and initiative to self-study technical aspects and self-develop the skills required for this role;
• 6+ years’ experience in accounting, financial analyst, or tax accounting; an emphasis in property tax preferred;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex and technical issues;
• Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing business environment with tight schedules.

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Knowledge of SAP accounting financial systems;
• Experience with implementation and use of Thomson Reuters OneSource tax software;
• Experience with preparing U.S. multistate indirect tax returns;
• Ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
• Strong team building skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively in a team environment;
• Good organization and project management skills.
