Job Summary:
Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of project, including
engineering, system planning and studies, procurement, and construction solutions for the new HVDC Converter
Site as part of NECEC program.

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:
The Project Manager - NECEC HVDC Converter site is responsible for coordinating activities between several
project teams, located in Maine working on the NECEC project. This Project Manager is responsible for managing
project priorities, investment plans, project execution strategy and internal/external resource requirements. Measure
teams performance comparing NECEC Project execution plan and corporate and business objectives. HVDC
Converter Site scope includes engineering, construction and material procurement for the new NECEC HVDC
Converter Site.

Represents the company in regulatory and public forums. Executes management approvals and human resources
responsibilities for project team personnel. Coordinate activities of project teams. Accountable for the work of
external contractors and other internal business areas. Holds teams accountable for performance and results.
Provides technical and business solutions to senior management. Ensures teams are delivering scope on
schedule, within budget and in conformance to quality and engineering standards.

Major Roles and Responsibilities (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
•Coordinates project teams including external project support. Sets team goals and strategic direction aligning with
Project Management Office and Quality Management System methodology and undertakes action plans, program
management, and team assignments to accomplish goals. Provides technical support, guidance, coaching and
counseling toward effective performance and appraises of teams and individual performance. Accountable for
meeting organization performance measures, initiates actions to improve performance, reviews work processes,

systems, procedures and practices and recommending and implementing changes to increase productivity, quality
and control costs.
•Analyzes project team performance and initiates actions to control scope, schedule and cost performance of
teams. Proactive approach to overseeing work, measures progress and takes actions to ensure project teams are
delivering within scope, on time and under budget. Approves project plans, executes contract strategies to
undertake work and controls and authorizes expenditures. Initiates actions to ensure compliance with a project
management and quality management processes and procedures.
•Interprets and administers company policies and procedures. Plans and implements training and development of
teams. Determines resource needs within business area. Develops and controls teams operating and capital
budget. Recommends promotions, personnel changes, budgets, organizational changes and business area
•Coordinates with other departments, consultants, attorneys, utilities, regulatory agencies, government agencies,
and major customers. May represent the company and testify in regulatory hearings or at Federal, State or local
agency or municipal meetings.

Job Requirements:

Required Education:
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

•5-10 years of experience in engineering science.
•Supervisory experience
•Experience leading and managing multiple teams and multi project portfolio
•Participation in regulatory proceedings and testimony
•PMP Certification
•Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

•Knowledge of Scheduling IT tools and software: MS Project.
•Experience using Risk Management protocols.
•Experience using MS Office Suite.
•Experience in cost tracking, annual budgeting and accruals
•Experience using SAP and query capabilities
•Proven problem-solving
•Ability to analyze and interpret portfolio data to determine trends and risks/opportunities
•Results oriented
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ensures quality is incorporated into team functions
•Knowledge of main configuration and general arrangements of networks (substations, overhead lines and cable)
•Intercompany liaison
