Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Directs and manages NYSEGs/RG&Es daily business relationships with Energy Service Companies (ESCOs),
Direct Customers (DCs), as well as managing the customer implications of interconnected Distributed Energy
Resources (DERs). Provide direct leadership and guidance to Lead Analysts, while collaborating with functional
business groups to understand and define business requirements, identify solutions and coordinating the
implementation of solutions. Provides leadership and guidance to all activities associated with the billing and
revenue control operations of customers implementing DER in NY. Develops and implements retail access, DER,
and Customer Data strategies and programs, and negotiates with regulatory agencies.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
1. Develops and directs the implementation of effective and efficient business processes in the areas of:
• Retail Access Supplier Relations Management
• Community Choice Aggregator Relationship and Management
• DER Uniform Business Practices
• Customer Data Administration (Including Green Button Connect DER Administration)
• DER Developer Relationship and Management. Monitors emerging trends and evolving technology, evaluating
and understanding the implications for inclusion in corporate strategies.
• Specialized Billing for customers implementing DER
2. Manages the resolution of related inquiries and complaints as well as developing and defending
NYSEGs/RG&Es positions.
3. Collaborate with NY PSC, NY ISO, suppliers, Rates and Finance departments, and internal/external customers to
implement new rates, products, and services in a timely and cost effective manner to meet compliance initiatives

and changing customer and market expectations.
4. Drives identification and prioritization of opportunities and use case assessment. Supports development and
execution of DER related business cases especially with respect to market development. Develops and executes
strategies to garner internal and external stakeholder support.
5. Manages, analyzes, and approves the forecast for retail access participating levels and oversees the
development of the department budget.
6. Manages and conducts internal and external public presentation and trainings with employees, ESCOs/DCs,
DERs, and NY PSC.

Education & Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with SAP Customer Care System (CCS) and/or Smart Care Systems.
• Knowledge of retail access, company operations (gas and electric), electric and gas supply fundamentals, rates
and customer service.
• Experience supervising or managing employees.

• Able to think strategically and engage in critical analysis
• Good decision-making capability
• Able to see the big picture when addressing day-to-day operations
• Excellent public speaking and facilitating skills
• Knowledge of customer accounting processes
• Ability to balance the administration of budgets, staffing needs, and performance management goals and
