Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

The Retail Energy Manager will work closely with a wide range of departments that perform the day-to-dayoperation and financial optimization of the assets in the retail book while developing and implementing the productand pricing strategies for the retail business. The Energy Manager will also interface heavily with support groupssuch as Accounting, Settlements, Risk Management, Legal, and Credit.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

• Develop short term and longer term strategies that support Avangrid’s Retail business and developmentobjectives.
• Support the development of the Retail- Renewable Energy Management framework to support the ongoingcoordination across the businesses.
• Delivering presentations and concepts in a clear and concise manner to senior management and various otherinternal and external stakeholders.
• Anticipating the impact of changes in market rules and regulations on an ongoing basis and proactively managingrisk to the Retail business.
• Managing communication with counterparties with respect to compliance requirements stated in contracts or

proposed contract amendments.
• Participate in process for retail/wholesale hedge portfolio.
• Regularly interact with senior management to discuss strategies, business implications, and market developmentswhich affect the Power business.
• Understand and operate within the Energy Management policies and procedures, risk management and corporateguidelines.
• Coordinate and collaborate across business units to support Retail and Renewable business needs
• Monitor customer product status, customer load, price behavior, constraints/outages, and generation outages toidentify risks to the company position and take appropriate actions to mitigate portfolio risk.
• Work with the Renewable’s Energy Management group to optimize market bids and congestion hedges andprovide information to support basis pricing for ERCOT and various other energy markets.
• Develop fundamental retail energy product and trading strategies by performing analysis, conducting research inmarket fundamentals, and managing diversified portfolios.
• Analyze large sets of data to quantify trading risk exposures and support decision-making related to retail energyand market forecasts.
• Performing quantitative analysis to identify risks and opportunities for power market growth.
• Managing diversified portfolios of FTR products and hedging customer flow business.
• Strategically evaluate ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, and CAISO markets for potential growth.
• Create databases to evaluate historical market data, path and portfolio selection and risk management criteria.



Education & Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of seven years energy industry experience
• Minimum of five years ERCOT retail trading experience

Education & Experience Preferred:
• Advanced degree / relevant certifications
• Experience working in a global company or matrix reporting organization
• Fluency in Spanish a plus

• Direct experience trading in the PJM, NYISO, ISONE, CAISO or ERCOT markets
• Experience in managing retail/wholesale hedge portfolio
• Strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage projects in a heavily rules based environment.
• Understanding of electric markets and power portfolio management.
• Experience monitoring customer load, price behavior, transmission constraints/outages, and generation outagesto identify risks to the company position and take appropriate actions to mitigate portfolio risk.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, results oriented, creative and innovative.

• Self-starter with demonstrated performance leading initiatives and building consensus at all levels of a matrixedglobal organization.
• Ability to foster and participate in a productive team environment by establishing and maintaining effective workingrelationships with co-workers, managers, customers, contractors, and vendors
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple, concurrent, time-sensitive projects and priorities.
