Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting activities within AVANGRID Group (AGR), which includes
both regulated and non-regulated business affiliates. This position will also be responsible for the management and
control of the AGR Financial Ledger including supporting the AGR Business Control Teams in their understanding
and use of the SAP application to meet Iberdrola accounting standards. Additionally this position will be responsible
for the AGR standalone financial information.

This position will have three direct reports into their group of four, including themselves.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Responsibility over the accounting close of the AGR standalone companies in all applicable accounting
standards (US GAAP & IFRS) by enforcing established timelines and completion of deliverables. Review and/or
preparation of standalone financial results. Approval and submission of post-closing accounting entries from AGR
Subsidiary Accounting Teams and coordination with Consolidations Department to meet consolidated reporting
2. Prepare and implement detailed accounting policies and determine how to account for each operation and with
which criteria and underlying data.
3. Communicate accounting policies and quality standards to the rest of the three AGR Subsidiary Accounting
Teams. Ensure compliance by providing support to AGR Subsidiary Accounting Teams.
4. Ensure accurate reporting by challenging variances and unusual items in monthly P&L and key performance
indicators and coordinating with AGR Subsidiary Accounting Teams to resolve issues.

5. Determine accounting risks in conjunction with Internal Controls Department and design appropriate internal
controls. Work closely with the external and internal auditors to ensure timely and successful completion of audits.


Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree with seven years Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Master's degree preferred
• Accounting or financial experience in a management role required
• Experience in preparation or audit of financial statements required


• Detailed knowledge of US GAAP required
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards preferred
• Knowledge of FERC accounting standards preferred
• Experience with ERP system required, SAP preferred
• Strong leadership skills required
• Excellent analytical and problem solving ability required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written required
