Job Title: Lead Supervisor, CT Instrumentation & Regulation (CNG/SCG)

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Primary responsibility is to manage the CT Gas operations supervisors and employees to ensure the efficient and
productive completion of assigned work/projects. Mentor and actively assist in enhancing the skill development of
supervisors to ensure employee growth and development to become a leader within the organization. Individual
possess a thorough working knowledge of operating procedures and provides support to other operations staff;
resolves complaints; responds to gas emergency situations and/or facilitates Gas Operations response protocols to
emergency situations. Responds to all emergency situations, fulfills overtime assignments and on-call/office/field
coverage as directed. Provides both administrative and managerial supervision to Field Supervisors and
bargaining unit employees.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

•Manage the daily activities of supervisors and employees responsible for the gas operations. Supervises both
company employees and in some cases contractor crews.
•Assumes duties and responsibilities of Manager in his/ her absence.
•Interaction with customers to solve problems/concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
•Identify and implement best practices across the companies to ensure a productive and efficient organization.
•Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of administrative departmental activities, not limited to, Operator
Qualification compliance, training, vacations, shift scheduling, and other items as needed.
•Directly assist the Manager in identifying development areas and developing performance improvement initiatives
for the company.
•Plans, schedules, and directs work assignments related to Instrumentation/ pressure management, and

maintenance of gas facilities including distribution regulator stations, gate stations, odorizer stations, natural gas
fired boilers, NGV trailers, power plants and cogeneration facilities.
•Develops, manages and coordinates the long-term work plan to meet system needs.
•Collaborates with others regarding the administration and compliance of all codes, and standards to ensure the
safe delivery of natural gas to our customers.
•Responsible for processing payroll, overtime, and tracking employee productive/unproductive work time.
•Ensure all employees fully understand their personal responsibility and accountability to adhere to standards of
performance and departmental objectives in regards to safety and all other work related activities.
•Align departments to ensure maximum consistency and flexibility amongst all work groups.
•Provides input to and oversees the budget for the assigned work group (s).

Education & Experience Required:
•High School Diploma/Associates degree is preferred.
•Candidate must have at least 10 years of very strong gas operations experience.
•Must have a valid driver's license and may require DOT Operator Qualifications.

•Must have administrative, communication and decision making abilities.
•Strong leadership/ managerial skills required.
•Candidate must be available 24/7/365 to support gas emergency situations.
•Requires a broad understanding of the distribution system configuration and SCADA system operations, as well as
an understanding of gas pressure and flow relationships.
•The candidate must have strong quantitative skills with a proven ability to use/produce spreadsheets or other
similar programs, strong written and verbal skills and a proven ability to use MS Office.
•Must be self-directed and have demonstrated initiative and assertiveness skills with strong labor relations skills and
experience with the grievance process and a working understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreements.
•Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced, mission critical environment.
