Position Title: Lead Facility TechnicianLocation: East Hartford, CT, USAGrade: LG 10 A

To succeed in this role,

Ideal Experience: – Minimum of ten years’ post licensure, relevant experience in modern office building. Strong“hands on” troubleshooting skills in HVAC-R and knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing. Education - Twoyear trade school certificate emphasizing in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and building control systemspreferred. Certifications – State of Connecticut, Unlimited Heating, Piping and Cooling (S2 license). Universal levelrefrigerant recovery license, OSHA 30, and ACM awareness certifications are desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all building equipment with afocus on HVAC-R systems analysis and repair activities, as required as well as performance of preventative andunscheduled maintenance; in accordance with all State of Connecticut building codes. The candidate will setchallenging goals, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and persistence about accomplishing them and holdthemselves and the team accountable for achieving results. Under the Facilities Supervisor’s guidance, direct andcoordinate facility related activities to ensure a safe and secure work environment. Contribute to the efficientoperation of the property while optimizing engineering/mechanical efforts to meet or exceed expectations. TheFacilities Technician position is required to be visibly and actively involved in overall facility operations, and to leadby example. Additional duties are to support the Facility Supervisor by overseeing vendors and contractors toensure building systems are properly maintained and all work is performed in accordance with building rules andregulations and that safety plans are submitted when applicable. Work in partnership with Facilities and supportteams (i.e. Accounting, Customer Service, Administration, Engineering, Construction and HR) and encourage allvendors and staff to do the same.
