JOB SUMMARY:Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Under minimal supervision, provides technical support and direction on efforts to plan, design, construct, operateand maintain the transmission and distribution system to provide desired reliability levels. Acts as project managerand works closely with management to ensure that the plans, proposals and objectives of the group align with thegoals and objectives of the Company.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

•Solves complex and unique T&D engineering problems..(5%,S)
•Control budget/estimates, maintenance plans & manages contracts. 15%,P)
•Provides technical expertise, direction and leadership for T&D network equipment to ensure the safety andreliability of the electric system.(10%,P)
•Performs engineering economic studies and compares alternative plans for system growth, improvements orenhancements.(15%,P)
•Performs research and cost evaluation analysis on new product and procedure technologies to ensure the lowestpossible customer cost for the service desired.(10%,S)
•Provides quality assurance for material used in construction activities and failure analysis for defective componentsor system and equipment mis-operations.(5%,S)
•Manages the identification and classification of capital improvements and subsequent inclusion in the associatedcapital budget. (15%,P)
•Oversees the completion of special investigations, assignments or technical assistance, as required.(15%,P)

•Performs additional activities such as development and delivery of technical training, development of maintenanceprograms, maintenance specifications and practices, equipment assessment, technical support, and developmentof equipment specifications.(5%,S)
•Coordinates the development of power delivery system reliability, design and construction standards.(5%,S)


JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education & Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or equivalent experience. MS or MBApreferredAt least 5 years of experience in system protection engineering, power system engineering or project managementCertification: Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.

•Highly developed verbal and written communications skills.
•Effective in managing multiple priorities and an effective team player.
