Description
Risk Management is part of a team that also manages credit risks and some of the other various risks of Avangrid's
businesses. This position will work closely with multiple areas within Avangrid Renewables, including Front Office,
Mid & Back Office or Compliance, as well as with the Iberdrola Risk department.

This position will support key processes of the Risk Management function, including, but not limited to:

• Risk Policies and Procedures: yearly reviews including recommendation of changes in co-ordination with the
business, effective communication and interpretation guidance;
• Investigation, management and reporting of potential violations or breaches to the limits or guidelines of the Risk
Policies or the Procedures;
• Transaction risk evaluation, risk management reviews of investment dossiers and structured transactions,
including the preparation of risk Summaries and recommendations.
• Enterprise risk management activities including Key Risk Report update or Limits and Indicators measurement;
• Monitoring of Operational Risk metrics on Energy Management activities.
• Support of business activities requiring Risk Management's quantitative and analytical skills capabilities.
• Monitoring and reporting of Market Risk to various Committees, including the Market Risk Committee and the
Avangrid Risk Committee.
• Performing independent analysis on market fundamentals events and understand and anticipate potential impact
on Avangrid's unregulated business.
• Review and analyze new products

Requirements
• 5+ years of related experience in industry and/or risk management
• Bachelor's degree or higher or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree preferred
• Familiarity with electric power and natural gas trading
• Ability to interact with other parts of the business and at all levels

• Strong Excel skills
• Strong Power point, presentation and communication abilities
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Familiarity with Sungard's Aligne/ZaiNet system desired
• Investment analysis and financial
• Programming skills desired
• Fluency in Spanish considered a plus
