JOB SUMMARY:

Supports affiliate Operating Company critical infrastructure/major projects as the purchasing and commercial lead.Mentors colleagues in Purchasing and lends experience and knowledge to assist others in the department and thebusiness. Administers the competitive bidding process for large and complex projects valued at up to severalhundred million dollars. Selects suppliers and manages corresponding partnerships for all IUSA operatingcompanies. Drive cost reduction initiatives, customer service levels, generate reports and other initiatives acrossthe enterprise. Perform other duties assigned by management.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Strategically sources commodities and services on critical infrastructure/major projects and other projects valuedat up to several hundred million dollars, using a variety of traditional and leading edge methods. Assures anuninterrupted supply of goods and services across all IUSA affiliates. Administers the competitive bidding process,evaluates and selects suppliers based on the Procurement Services Policy Manual and annual budgetaryrequirements.2. Leads cross-functional affiliate teams to drive purchasing initiatives and improve bottom line performance. Thisincludes participation in Global teams, RFP’s and initiatives with other Iberdrola businesses as necessary.Centralizes the procurement function for all affiliates and solicits assistance from subject matter experts, and otherswithin the business, as required.3. Maintains current and accurate understanding of a broad base of commodities, service categories and generalbusiness conditions. Tracks material/service costs, and performance using approved. Metrics and tools. Analyzes

trends and makes corresponding sourcing decisions that contribute directly to the company’s competitive position.Supports DBE programs and initiatives.4. Negotiates and awards multi-faceted, large and complex, business wide and affiliate specific enterprise contractsto minimize operational, legal and financial risks. Formulates requests for proposal/quotations/information, bidanalysis, tenders, and risk evaluations. Directs supplier negotiations and administers agreements. Collaborates withboth internal and external legal counsel.5. Mentor junior members of the supply chain organization. Drives creative solutions and communicate/suggestbest practices to management and colleagues.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:


• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with aminimum of five years relevant experience required.

Certifications:


• C.P.M., C.P.S.M, or equivalent or working toward achievement is strongly desired.

Skills/Abilities:


• Strong oral, written, and presentation related communication skills.
• Strong Customer Service Orientation.
• Clear commercial focus (i.e., Contract writing, negotiation).
