Description
JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for prioritizing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Head
End System (HES), AMI Network and Operations Technologies team
responsibilities related to technical design, configuration,
implementation and support to meet business requirements. Serves as
primary technical contact for AMI HES users and process owners to
understand technical requirements and ensuring overall system
implementation meet business requirements. Primary technical contact
for requirements associated with AMI HES, Network, System monitoring,
DBMS, Web Services and other applicable environments within Operations
Technologies.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of
responsibilities):

1. Leads all technical enhancements requirements in the AMI HES, AMI
Network and other applications in Operations Technologies. Ensuring
systems are implemented to achieve attainment of system performance,
availability, recoverability and all compliance requirements. (20%,P)

2. Develops technical solutions and/or configuration changes to meet
ongoing requirements. Leads implementation of changes as required and
prepares specifications for approved changes performed by AMI support
and Operations and Compliance analysts (20%,P)

3. Leads support team responsibilities related to technical capabilities
of AMI HES and Network and responsible for prioritizing technical
implementation of web and program applications, coordinating technical
system upgrades and technical issue resolution with vendors. Responsible
managing operations of all aspect of the AMI Network system and
operations and compliance of the AMI Network and control center
technical platforms and related services from architectural planning
through day to day operations and support. (20%,P)

4. Leads coordination with end users and process owners to understand
ongoing requirements (changes, modifications, improvements) and ensuing
overall technical solution of system implementation for AMI Network, AMI
HES, web service, integration integrity with Operations Technologies, IT
and business users. Ensuring timely and accurate solutions to the
business areas, including tracking and addressing unresolved user
requests. (20%,P)

5. Leads team in creating and maintaining technical documentation,
change management principles, system performance trend analysis,
management and integration of different technical components, training
and compliance material. (20%,P)

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

• Associate's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant
experience required. Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years
relevant experience preferred.

• Leadership experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of networking and network management tools.

Certifications:
• NERC CIP Certification as appropriate.

Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive technical background with knowledge in technical
hardware architecture, Linux/Unix/Windows Operating System familiarity,
networking and topology, understanding of high level network and

security concepts, radio networks, firmware updates. Familiar with
Zigbee wireless protocols in and around 802.1x, FCC regulations.

• Technical background with network functionality and tools
including SSH, Traceroute, ping, understanding of DHCP, routing, VPN
technologies, IP addressing/cidr boundaries, firewall concepts and
architecture.

• Proven ability to learn new technologies, solve complex technical
issues and present complex information in an understandable compelling
manner.

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, BRIO and other
business analytical tools.

• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills with
demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization in a
professional manner.

• High level of organizational skills.

• Maintaining the integrity of data extraction, storage,
manipulation, and processing.

• Broad knowledge of network management systems and reporting
(utilization, capacity and availability) and tools including Whatsup
Gold, Testbench, Procare, WhatsUpGold, 3rd level support, UnitySuite,
NEMS (Network Element Management System).
