Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships: Establishes,administers and monitors company-wide standards, procedures and performance, within area of expertise, tominimize risk and ensurecompliance with environmental and safety areas as it relates to their regulatory and legal requirements. Generallyspecializes and focuses on environmental, occupational health or safety. Provides specialized technical expertiseand support for the elimination of hazards and prevention of injuries, program development, and performancetracking and reporting. Provides assistance to affiliate companies.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Responsibilities include coordinating/overseeing contractors and consultants, negotiating contract bids andmanaging project costs. Interfaces with the appropriate regulatory agencies, minimizing Corporate risks and publicliabilities.2. Develops Corporate compliance programs, including safety, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental proceduresthat minimize risks, specify appropriate personal protective equipment and safe work procedures. Serves as theCompany’s primary technical expert in the area of safety, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental matters.3. Conducts worker safety training both in house and in the field. Produces reports and enforces all regulations4. Leads Root Cause accident and incident investigations and provides executive level reports.5. Prepares environmental permit applications and compliance reports, tracks regulations and standards, andparticipates in Company#s 24-hour emergency response program.



Education & Experience Required:Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of5 years relevant experience required.


Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Able to work independently, and exercise considerable judgment and decision-making.Able to direct outside consultants and evaluate their progress.Strong training and organizational and negotiation skills. Able to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
