Job Title: Lead Analyst - Asset Management

Applies asset strategies and policies in assigned asset areas using
performance and condition information in accordance with best practice.
May assist with the development of asset management policies and
strategies. May recommend investment strategies and asset replacement
programs that maximize system performance and financial outcomes.
Takes a lead role in the performance of more complex assessments and
manipulation of data. This position encompasses cross company
responsibility, each OPCO having variations in data availability,
quality, and approaches, must address errors in order to gather data for
asset assessment purposes. Position is responsible for the further
development of the company's assessment and reporting capabilities, data
mining capabilities, to complete complex analysis and reporting.
Position requires the ability to have in-depth interface with external
consultants and a variety of internal functional groups.


1. Leads initiatives to gather, manipulate, analyze, and provide
reporting of asset data. Works with large and often times incomplete
data sets. Develop variations of analytical and reporting approaches to
best communicate asset management information as well as enhance ability
to utilize data in the application of asset management strategies

2. Supports reliability improvement analysis including work with
defective equipment, outage database data, and circuit performance data.

3. Analyzes asset condition data and plans programs consistent with best
practices to provide guidance to expenditure planning and
prioritization. Risks will also be considered in the analysis. May
recommend and develop programs and strategies including 10 year asset
management and replacement recommendations

4. Using best practices, applies asset management approaches within
regulatory, legal, and other specified parameters that optimize the use
of assets in accordance with the asset management policy.

5. Interacts with subject matter experts to make sure asset management
practices are effective, data is properly gathered and analyzed,
applications are structured for optimum effectiveness, and risks are
appropriately considered and managed

6. Effectively communicates asset management plans and the strategies
and policies that guided the creation of the plans to internal
stakeholders. May be required to also present and advocate for the
plans externally.

7. Mentors and trains junior members of the Asset Management

8. Drives creative solutions and communicate/suggest best practices to
management and colleagues.

9. Maintains up-to-date documentation and procedures.

10. Participates in global and local projects.


Education & Experience Required:

• Associate's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
required. Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant
experience preferred.
• Experience in large database construction, manipulation, and data
extraction desired.
• SAP/BW experience required.

• GIS data set experience desired.
• Knowledge of energy delivery system design and operation desired.
• Understanding of maintenance and asset management principles desired.

• Other maintenance and asset management training certifications would
be beneficial.


• Proactive and Results oriented.
• Excellent data analysis skills required.
• Proficient in the use of software such as Excel, Access, and
• Strong SAP skills are desired.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel to other locations required.
