Description


Purpose:
Supports the Director Gas Engineering & System Operations in all
aspects of the position. This position helps to prepare the O&M Budget
and Capital Budgets for certain operating areas. Works with Director on
the maintenance and regulatory compliance of the Company’s distribution
system, pressure regulation/control facilities and the Company’s
corrosion control program. Works with Director on all activities
associated with the Company’s SCADA system. Review Federal DOT and MA
gas safety regulations, along with any other appropriate regulations to
insure polices & procedures are in compliance, and track changes,
updates or new regulations to insure compliance.
Complete tasks of simple to moderate complexity


Key Responsibilities:



• Supports engineering activities, including project management, for the
Company.



• Supports the Director in preparing and monitoring the Company’s
annual Capital Budget.



• Supports all activities associated with the maintenance and regulatory
compliance of the Company’s distribution system.



• Supports all activities associated with the maintenance and regulatory
compliance of the Company’s production facilities (i.e., Propane Air Plants and LNG plant)
including the scheduling associated with the Company’s production facilities.



• Supports all activities associated with the maintenance and regulatory
compliance with the Company’s pressure regulation/control facilities and
the Company’s corrosion control program.



• Supports all activities associated with the Company’s SCADA system
(i.e., design, programming, alarm monitoring and system trouble-
shooting and first responder to system alarms).



• Supports all activities related to both Federal and State Pipeline
Regulatory programs (e.g., O&M, DIMP, Emergency Response PLAN, GSAP,
etc.)


Performs all system analysis modeling for the Company. Analyzes,
updates, and maintains over 30 system models
Available 24/7 for operational issues On Call
As needed, operate company’s peaking facilities (LNG).

Requirements


Qualifications:


Education:
Bachelor's degree in analytic discipline or physical science including,
but not limited to: Engineering, Mathematics etc...
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets,
databases, develop and update performance metrics, and input/manage data
in databases. Ability to prepare reports, prepare and analyze charts and
graphs. Ability to prepare and understand engineering drawings desired.
Experience or familiarity with natural gas piping systems, equipment, or


operations preferred.


Requires strong quantitative skills along with high attention to detail
and accuracy in work. Requires strong written and oral communication
skills.
