JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Director of Business Planning and Development is responsible for a broad range of strategic planning, financialmodeling and analytical reporting. Their success is based on the quality of analytics and support provided in thefollowing high-visibility areas: strategic initiatives, long range financial planning, budgets and forecasts, and analysisof major projects. This position provides guidance and management support to the business and requires stronganalytical and conceptual skills.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):


• Support the business in performing budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related tocost management, headcount control, and operational performance
• Lead the budget process including: developing, communicating and driving the budget timeline, creating budgettemplates, creating/maintaining budget roll-up files, preparing budget deliverables for the Leadership Team


• Defining and tracking KPIs to ensure resources are efficiently allocated and aligned to support of broaderbusiness objectives.
• Coordinate across organizations to support KPI related reporting requirements and report delivery.
• Perform monthly review of results and provide analysis of results vs. budget and forecasted expectations for thebusiness
• Support the Vice President in the preparation of presentations to the Board, and key internal and externalstakeholders
• Develop new business financial forecast model to support market entry in new states; update model with actualresults and analyze and adjust assumptions based on knowledge of business
• Continuous improvement of financial reporting process, related controls and policies and procedures
• Lead the understanding of business plan margins and profitability including close liaison with Energy Managementand Control.
• Analyze performance trends against financial metrics and provide thought leadership on key business KPIs,drivers, areas for improvement.
• Seek to optimize US Retail’s position and long term profitability by identifying opportunities to leverage value whilemaintaining all other key targets such as business growth.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience Required:


• BS/BA in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred
• 8 + years related work experience, including Finance and modeling.
• Must have strong leadership, planning and strategic thinking skills.
• Good oral and written communication, presentation, and financial management skills required.
• Must be strategic-minded with superior collaboration skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and verbaland written communication skills. Self-directed with a high degree of initiative, as well as a high sense of urgencyand ability to meet strict deadlines.

Education & Experience Preferred:


• Advanced degree / relevant certifications
• Experience working in a global company or matrix reporting organization
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
