Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

The Associate Financial Analyst will initiate and coordinate cash analysis, bank reconciliations, sundry receivables,
and intercompany transactions and produce journal entries and adjusting entries as needed.
The Analyst will work collaboratively with various internal departments including Control, Internal Audit and
Operations to support the Transaction Services process, monthly accounting close and various internal and
external information requests.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1) Issue Sundry bills as requested from internal customers and produce monthly Sundry reports , blue coups,
Sundry AR aging and reconciliations to the general ledger.
2) Work collaboratively with collections and bill requesters to support collections of past due accounts and expand
the knowledge of the sundry billing processes and standards.
3) Prepare bank reconciliations on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required by the entity. Lead efforts to
understand unreconciled items and follow-up with the appropriate department as necessary.
4) Analyze cash activity understand and follow-up on open issues and prepare adjusting entries as needed.
5) Perform intercompany account analyses and communicate intercompany accruals to AGR counterparts and
record intercompany accruals communicated to Transaction Services. Work collaboratively with AGR to resolve
any open issues or unreconciled items.
6) Initiate and record the intercompany payments within UIL and between the UIL companies and AGR as required
and approved.
7) Determine the nature of intercompany charges and make appropriate entries to reflect the receivables and
payables on the appropriate UIL companies' books.

8) Participate in special projects including testing, validation and documentation of system and procedural changes
prior to implementation.
9) Monitor compliance with internal controls and provide audit support during the testing of internal controls relative
to Sarbanes Oxley.
10) Coordinate internal and external information requests and ensure timely and accurate responses.


Education & Experience Required:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and minimum of two years related work experience
performing analyses and transactional processing within a Finance organization. Applicants should have strong
technical accounting and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. The applicant should also possess solid
organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills. Advanced degrees not required but may be used to
compliment years of work experience. Four years or more work experience preferred. Advanced Excel Skills and
experience with SAP are a plus.
