DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:Under supervision, analyzes and recommends distribution and transmission system infrastructure improvementsand replacements to serve new and existing load and customers. Develops short and long-term plans fordistribution and transmission systems including regulator and gate stations to meet safety and reliability needs.Maintains and updates gate station, regulator station, and primary valve records and makes recommendations forreplacements and improvements. Maintains and updates the gas hydraulic models. Supports Gas Design andDelivery including specification of gate and regulator station equipment. Supports Gas Field Operations and EnergyControl Center. Applies company, industry, local, state, national codes, tariffs, and standards, and ensurescompliance with regulatory requirements. Provides engineering expertise for the planning, design, operation, andmaintenance of the distribution and transmission systems. Interacts with customers, developers, municipalities andagencies.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Performs engineering analyses of the gas distribution systems to serve new customer loads and developinfrastructure improvements to increase system reliability and safety. Under supervision of Engineers, may performanalyses of gas distribution and transmission systems above 60 psi maximum operating pressure and regulatorstations. Develops short and long-term plans to meet these system needs. Plans include development of cost andcapital budget support including economic studies and models. (20%,P)

2. Under supervision, interfaces with and supports Marketing and Economic Development for addition of new loadand customers. May work with Engineers on requests that involve transmission mains and regulator stations or gas

supply issues. (20%,P)

3. Performs engineering analyses of the gas distribution systems to serve existing customer loads and developinfrastructure replacements to increase system reliability and safety and meet regulatory requirements. Undersupervision of Engineers, may perform analysis of gas distribution and transmission systems above 60 psioperating pressure and regulator stations. Develops short and long-term plans to meet these system requirements.Plans include development of cost and capital budget support including economic studies and models. (20%,P)

4. Under supervision of Engineers, supports updates and maintenance of gas system planning tools including: gateand regulator station data, valve data, Gas System Planning Manual, and gas hydraulic models. (10%,S)

5. Interfaces with and supports Gas Design and Delivery and Gas Field Operations and provides engineeringexpertise for the planning, design, operation and maintenance of the distribution and transmission systemsincluding gate and regulator stations. (10%, S)

6. Applies appropriate codes, regulations, polices, and procedures. Under supervision, interfaces with customers,developers, municipalities and agencies. (15%,S)

7. Under supervision, assist on more complex projects.(5%,S)

RequirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or Technology degree in Mechanical and Civil Engineering preferred. Associates degree with aminimum of four years relevant experience.

Certifications:

• Engineer in Training desirable.• Valid driver’s license.

Skills/Abilities:

• Results oriented with a proactive drive for excellence.• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.• An effective team player.• Effective in managing multiple priorities and multi-tasking.• Project management skills, problem solving and analytical skills including computer modeling.
