JOB SUMMARY: Major Roles & Responsibilities

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

In an office environment, responsible for the daily, monthly and seasonal planning and tracking of gas supply
volumes needed in all areas of the service territory. Plans and tracks storage injection and withdrawal quantities to
assure adequate levels of storage capacity are
available throughout the year. Completes capacity release transactions and studies to determine amount of
capacity available for release.

Performs, confirms and assures accuracy of nominations on, and communicates with, many interstate and
intrastate pipelines. Interacts with Supplier Relations and Billing and Risk Management. Interacts with
management up to the VP level. under moderate supervision and in accordance with internal controls and
procedures (includes SOx Cycle 9 and 11 requirements):

• Compiles data and runs supply planning model for special studies on gas cost and supply optimization.
Seeks optimized utilization of supply, storage and transportation assets. Prepares recommendations for long-term
capacity releases and changes to demand volumes. (25%)
• Prepares, twice delay, a 5-day forecast of gas supply and demand needs for NYSEG, RG&E and MNG
service territories. Accurately tracks and settles gas supply requirements for all companies, as well as minimizes
imbalance charges.. Plans and tracks storage injection and withdrawal quantities to assure adequate levels of
storage capacity are available throughout the year. Perform, confirm and assure accuracy of all nominations on
pipelines. Responsible for off-hour operations. (30%)
• Conducts daily, monthly and seasonal supply planning; includes analyzing actual data and adjusting
forecasting methodology as necessary to continually improve accuracy of forecasting methodologies. (25%)

• Develop regression analyses as need for supply planning / portfolio needs. Investigate meter discrepancies
for SOX Cycle 9 Internal Control. Completes reports for internal and external distribution as required. Completes
special projects and studies as assigned. Supports regulatory compliance as required. (20%)

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education, Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience Required:
• Bachelors' degree or Associates Degree with significant relevant experience,.

Skills/Abilities
• Must be able to work independently, and act decisively in emergency situations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong spreadsheet and database skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to manage conflict resolution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be available for on-call

Experience/Training:
• At least 5 years of directly related experience, including experience in a business, mathematical, technical, or
engineering field.
• Thorough knowledge of gas supply operations, nomination requirements, release of capacity, gas
transportation and storage
• Experience with the gas pipeline bulletin boards
• Knowledge of the Companies gas accounting procedures and gas transportation services
