This position can be held from a home office in Northern Illinois (Chicago), Northern Indiana, Northwest Ohio/South
to Columbus. Home office should be located within a 100 miles to large airport.

The Senior Developer will develop and maintain a portfolio of business opportunities including Greenfield
development and acquisition of wind power, solar power, and energy storage facilities in PJM and Eastern MISO
regions of the Midwestern U.S.A. Although the location specified above is Chicago, IL, this position will be a remote
(home office) position, and locational options would include north central Illinois (extending south to
Bloomington-Normal and west to Moline), northern Indiana, and northwest Ohio (extending south to Columbus),
with the understanding that the remote location should be less than 100 miles from a major airport.
Key Responsibilities

• Support and/or manage site development of wind and solar energy projects, as well as energy storage
projects, including establishment of site control, permitting of project sites, and management of community

• Support project acquisition efforts including due diligence on potential acquisitions and negotiation of
purchase and sale agreements.

• Be a key point of contact for project stakeholders, including landowners and local county officials.

• Identify new business opportunities and work with internal technical support teams.

• Adhere to effective internal controls, including providing project development budgets, schedules, and other
updates as required by senior management.


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a directly related field, or the equivalent combination of
education and experience.

• 5+ years’ experience in energy project development or real estate acquisitions. The company may consider
candidate with less experience at a lower level.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the Midwest U.S., and to corporate headquarters in
Pennsylvania and Oregon, as directed.

• Proven experience in contract review/negotiation, project management, and problem/conflict resolution.

• Proficiency in Windows based business software applications, including Word ,Excel, and Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or directly related field.

• Experience in wind and solar power development.

• Experience in project management.

• Knowledge or understanding of agricultural and energy land use practices.

• Familiarity with title and survey requirements for land leasing or purchasing.

• Willingness to expand knowledge base to incorporate new and emerging energy generation/storage
technologies and applications.

• Ability to work efficiently and seamlessly (via computer or other electronic communication means) in a broad
and diverse range of surrounding environments.
