JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reportingrelationships, other relationships:

Responsible for leading and architecting advanced data base andapplication development for AVANGRID Energy Management System (EMS) and

SCADA environments, as part of the global environment of AVANGRID. Aspart of the Global Team, architects, designs, and develops EnergyManagement System functions into a common, integrated solution forAVANGRID and aligned to provide a common Global Solution. Serves asprimary lead in finding technical and application solutions acrossAVANGRID that satisfies diverse Operation Centers, process owners,satisfies compliance and regulatory requirements and EMS technicalrequirements to meet strategic Global business plans. Primary technicalarchitect and contact for specifying and leading developments associatedwith EMS and SCADA within Operations Technologies.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range ofresponsibilities):

1. Leads design and technical enhancements in the Energy ManagementSystems, back office environments and other applications in OperationsTechnologies to meet operational business requirements. Ensuring systemsand applications are designed and implemented to achieve systemperformance, availability, recoverability, regulatory, and compliancerequirements.2. Develops technical solutions and/or configuration changes to meetongoing requirements. Leads implementation of changes as required andprepares specifications for approved changes performed by SCADA-EMSanalysts.3. Leads Energy Management System data base development andadministration. Leads a skilled team in data base conversions andupgrades, development work and application development against complexand multiple data bases within the EMS environments and associatedancillary back office systems.4. Leads the design and implementation of advanced applicationdevelopments to support EMS network models and applications in supportof the Electric System. Leads a skilled team in application developmentto support Electric Operations using real time data in areas includingsecurity, contingency analysis, advanced billing systems, networkanalysis across AVANGRID.5. Leads support team responsibilities related to technicalcapabilities of Energy Control Systems and responsible for prioritizingtechnical implementation of applications, coordinating technical systemupgrades and technical issue resolution with vendors. Responsible formanaging operations of all aspect Energy Control system technicalplatforms and related services from architectural planning through dayto day operations and support.6. Responsible for leading lifecycle projects; plans, coordinates,communicates and executes leading cross functional teams as required.

Interacts with global counterparts to reach common solutions.7. Leads team in creating and maintaining technical documentation,change management principles, system performance trend analysis,management and integration of different technical components, trainingand compliance material.8. Responsible for managing 24/7 availability of EMS/SCADA /BackOffice Applications in the Control Center environment through day to daysupport and through developed processes and procedures to be used bytechnical support team.9. Leads coordination with end users and process owners tounderstand ongoing requirements (changes, modifications, improvements)and ensuing overall technical solution of system implementation forEnergy Management Systems/SCADA Subsystems and off line applicationswith Operations Technologies, IT, NYISO, other Utilities and businessusers. Initiates and leads projects across disciples ensuring timelyand accurate solutions to the business areas, including tracking andaddressing unresolved user requests.10. Leads complex technical problem resolution and provide trainingand mentoring to other support and design areas and co-workers. Provideson-going end user training and end user support as required andidentifies and leads the implementation of system functionality notcurrently utilized.11. Responsible for developing and delivering robust enterprisesolutions to address operational and business needs to achieveoperational and reliability goals using OT EMS and back officeplatforms.12. Platforms include but are not limited to EMS/SCADA Systems, WebServers, Windows Application and Data Base Servers, networkingappliances, firewalls, switches, routers and other security platformsfor external data connections.13. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attendingtraining, participating in user group meetings, and working collectivelyto support various areas of business.14. Responsible for supporting Disaster Recovery, storm events andother duties as assigned.
