Directs the activities of the workforce using effective supervisory practices that promotes both team and individualjob performance.Provides leadership and direction to the workforce to achieve goals and objectives. Ensures adherence to safety rules, standards, workpractices, company policies and Code of Business Conduct. Delegates responsibility, authority, and accountabilityfor meetingstandards of performance.Accountable for planning and monitoring annualbudgets, developing short-term and long-termdepartmental goals and action plans.Support all regulatory proceedingsincluding providing documentation, responses and testimony.

Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates a commitment to personal and workforce safety and holds self and workforce accountable foradherence to UI's Safety Manual, safe work practices and DEP, DOT and OSHA regulations.Leads workforce engaged in construction, testing, maintenance and operation activities in accordance withestablished standards, safety procedures, operating procedures, and time estimates to ensure maximumefficiencies.Initiates and fosters teams and motivates the workforce to support continuous improvement due to the changingbusiness environment. Ensures that work performance is measured against standards, goals and objectives andtakes action to improve performance. Set expectations, conduct performance reviews and hold work groupaccountable for their actions.Ensures compliance with NERC/FERC/CIP Standards.

Ensures compliance with the collective bargaining agreement. Utilize a mutual gains approach when resolving ornegotiatingbargaining unit issues. Develop, communicate and implement goals, action plans and lead teams focused oncontinuous organizational improvement. Monitor measures and metrics, immediately addressing undesirableresults.Initiates and supports training efforts in the development of theworkforce and ensures that the workforce has the necessary job skills.Work closely with other operations departments and UI business areas tomeet corporate objectives. Ensure a positive and productiverelationship with the maintenance group. Participate in or chaircommittees and task forces.Provide fiscal, strategic and operational leadership to reduce cost andprocess inefficiencies.At least five years supervisory experience. At least five yearstechnical experience in an electrical related field. Experience in laborrelations and knowledge of labor agreements.10 Years

RequirementsQualifications: (minimum qualifications for assignment to this job)Education: BS/BA Degree Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or relevant discipline.Applicants with an Associate's degree and 13 years experience inan electrical related field may be considered; however, additionaleducation and/or certification may be required.
