Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:
  • Work collaboratively or independently within the department, business area or the enterprise to monitor and analyze various aspects and components of cost and performance to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Develop, implement and maintain tools and processes for collecting, manipulating and organizing critical data to be used in performing complex analyses of past, present and projected performance.
  • Support the process improvement and integration efforts of the organization.
  • Assist in the development of department or business area budgets, metrics and strategy.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

  • Cost Management and Business Analytics. Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on critical financial. operational, productivity & efficiency metrics. Performs complex studies and analyze data to identify gaps and possible improvements. Advise and act as consultant to business area(s) regarding historical trends and analysis to assist in developing mitigating solutions for closing and/or reducing budget, efficiency and productivity gaps. Maintain scorecards specifically measuring gains through cost and performance management disciplines.
  • Process Analysis and Optimization. Performs complex business process analysis and design for business area(s). Provides input to and supports planning and prioritization for business process related activities, including developing the unit level plans and integrating those plans with corporate plans. Identifies processes for improvement, documents existing processes, identifies and analyzes gaps between current processes and the desired state, designs new processes, develops process performance measures and plans the transition to a new process. Maintain scorecards specifically measuring gains through process improvement.
  • Utilizes advanced business analytics tools to develop and publish costs and performance dashboards for use by Management.
  • Lead special projects or initiatives, participate on project teams, and assist the business areas ongoing improvement and integration efforts.
  • Assist and support Emergency Preparedness and response efforts as needed.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelors’ Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 years relevant experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • SAP/BW experience.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Advanced PC skills including demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.) for spreadsheets and database management.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP R3 transactions (FI, WMS, etc.), fundamentals and processes.
  • Experience in data extraction, manipulation and database construction desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including collaboration and team building is desired
  • Ability to travel to other locations.
