DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work – Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:

The Construction Field Supervisor is responsible for on pre- construction, site management of construction andcommissioning (functional testing included) and post construction activities related to substation, lines or integratedprojects with objectives of safety, quality, timeliness and cost effective completion on behalf of the Affiliates ofAVANGRID located in Maine, New York and Connecticut.

Major Roles and Responsibilities (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

•Provide management and responsibility for timely performance of civil and electrical contractors related toconstruction and commissioning of electric lines and substation projects.•Responsible for construction contract execution and contractor performance. Ensures contractor is meetingservice or material specifications requirements and manages contractor performance to schedule and budget.•Manage activities related to coordination of field inspections and sign offs for construction projects includingagricultural, environmental.•Over of functional testing of electrical equipment.•Manage activities of contractors related to adherence to safety, quality, schedules, budgets, cost effective meansand methods and project results.•Develop, review, and evaluate contracts and agreements affecting the project execution and functional areaoperations ensuring project success.•Responsible for contractor oversight eliminating construction risks by proactively addressing risks and coordinateactivities with project team and contractors.•Works with team members to ensure that construction management is integrated into the planning, scheduling,

cost tracking, construction, installation, testing and commissioning, and acceptance activities.•Responsible for obtaining and accepting all construction materials.•Responsible for signing off of contractors milestones, completion of work packages, review of change orders priorto submittal to project team.•Responsible to ensure compliance with all permit conditions.•Responsible to implement the construction schedules with the other project stakeholders including internal andexternal resources.•Responsible for working with AVANGRID project team regarding field changes.•Drive construction execution working with other business organizations, contractors and subject matter experts toresolve disputes and prioritize business requirements.•Participate in the construction projects negotiations and joint planning efforts with other utilities.•Lead site activities to address or remedy electrical system emergencies as necessary.•Responsible for the timely reporting and assistance in the investigation of field incidents.•Adhere to company policies, programs and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), FederalEnergy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England andNew York Independent System Operators.•Safety: Maintain safety awareness and ensure contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, andprocedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site. Properly wear and care for applicablesafety gear and equipment. Identify and communicate unsafe conditions to Contractors, Project Manager andassure safety concerns and issues are resolved.

RequirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS:Education & Experience Required:•Bachelors’ degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.•Professional Engineering License Preferred

Skills/Abilities:•Extensive knowledge of construction management practices applicable to electrical utility lines and substationconstruction including commissioning of electrical equipment.•Extensive knowledge of interconnected electrical system operations.•Knowledge of government regulations, including OSHA, NESC, NEC and industry codes affecting electric utilities.•Experience in contract preparation, negotiations and administration.•Working knowledge of budget preparation and administration.•Demonstrated ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.•Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, and technical manuals.•Excellent written and verbal communications, including correspondence, reports, and other business documents.•Working knowledge of best practices in safety policies and procedures.•Effective leadership Skills•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills•Results oriented

Experience/Training:

•Microsoft Office Suite•Must have a valid Driver’s License•Must be willing to work on site on a day to day basis•Must have two years supervisor experience•Experience managing multiple job sites
