Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Responsible for the analysis and reporting of credit and collection data. Coordinates and improves collection
activities within the division and with outside agencies to assure prompt, courteous and proper collection in
adherence with regulatory guidelines and state law. Works from final bill reports sending out credit letters, working
out payment arrangements, identifying balances that can be transferred, referring accounts to collection agencies,
and preparing monthly reports.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Develop customized analysis and reports regarding credit and collection information from all areas of performing
credit and collection duties.(35%)
2. Provide budget support to management including budget preparation and variance analysis and reporting. Also
provides credit and collections analysis to managers in order to support corporate goals. (30%)
3. Processes accounts with overdue bills for non-payment. Coordinates proactive calling campaigns and field
collections for residential and non-residential customers with arrears.(10%)
4. Works closely with management to develop, improve and implement collection process.(10%)
5. Prepares and maintains credit and collection records, files and reports. Maintains follow-up files for special
handling of accounts as required.(10%)


Education & Experience Required:

Bachelors Degree preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High
School/GED with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.


# Working knowledge of customer service and collections policies and practices.
# Strong communication skills.
# Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.
# Strong analytical ability.
# Able to multi-task.
# PC skills, including MS Office Suite.
